Doctor of Nursing Practice
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Certified Case Manager
Kimberly brings exceptional clinical expertise and a deep personal commitment to serving military families and individuals recovering from trauma.
Kimberly Freisenbruch is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Certified Case Manager. She completed both her master’s and doctoral degrees simultaneously at Old Dominion University, one of the only students to ever do so. She is currently pursuing certification in neurofeedback through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance.
Kimberly’s dedication to trauma and brain injury care is shaped by her clinical experience and her military family background. Her research includes work on equine assisted psychotherapy for PTSD and TBI, and she has presented at conferences where she has been recognized for her contributions to trauma focused care. Kimberly is an inductee of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and currently serves as the Governance Chair for the Epsilon Chi chapter at Old Dominion University.
